Childhood Cancer Association
Statement
The Childhood Cancer Association is committed to giving freely of services which help and guide families through the trauma and anguish of a child’s cancer diagnosis and throughout all the times to follow. Our objective is to generate funds in support of medical research and for child and family services of emotional, practical and financial needs. Our care for families extends beyond bereavement and our offer of love, understanding and compassionate support has no limitation.
Background
Our mission is to provide emotional, social and financial support for children with cancer and their families, and to support initiatives that will improve clinical outcomes or the quality of life of children and young people with cancer.
The Childhood Cancer Association will continue to develop new initiatives and programs that will assist children with cancer and their families.
The Childhood Cancer Association receives minimal government funding and depends on financial support from its members, supporters and the community to continue providing its services to children with cancer and their families. All services are provided free of charges without discrimination.
The Childhood Cancer Association has been endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a deductible gift recipient and income tax exempt charity (a not for profit organization) and is registered under the Collections For Charitable Purposes Act, 1939 within South Australia (License Number 86)
